Beaver Valley Elementary

Welcome to fall and October!  This month is literally packed with activities. This month, we will be focusing on the character trait of responsibility at Beaver Valley. Let’s work together to nurture this important trait. The tenth marks the end of the first quarter, and the fourteenth is the beginning of the second quarter. The fifteenth and seventeenth are conferences. Please plan on attending, as a parent/teacher partnership is essential in ensuring the best educational outcomes for our students. United we achieve,  divided we struggle. Products from the fundraiser are scheduled to arrive on the fifteenth, so please be ready to collect them. Student council will organize our RED ribbon week activities during the week of the twenty-first through the twenty-fourth, we look forward to promoting health habits. Finally, the month wraps up with a Halloween parade at Beaver Valley, one of our students' favorite activities. Please plan on attending this fun activity and join the party with your child afterward.

Respectfully,

Mr. Brian Singley, Principal

Mr. James Wilson, Assistant Principal

Welcome Back to School from Beaver Valley BAC!!

Beaver Valley PTAAC (BAC)  held its second meeting on September 16th! At this month’s meeting, we approved funding for the 5th grade’s Ameritowne field trip, Mr. Singley presented his UIP plan for the school, and we discussed upcoming events like STEAM night. Watch for Beaver Valley T-shirt order forms coming out soon! We would love input from more Beaver Valley parents, so join us for our next meeting! It will be on Monday, October 21st, at 4:00 p.m. in the Beaver Valley Library.

From the Assistant Principal’s Chair: LET THEM SEE YOU DO IT.

Halloween will be upon us soon!  One of the most commonly associated things with Halloween (other than costumes) is candy.  One of the things I loved doing as a child was counting all of the candy we had to give out on Halloween.  The next day I would count how many were left to figure out how many we gave away.  Of course, I always thought I would get all the leftovers plus what I got trick-or-treating, but that never happened. This is another activity that you can LET THEM SEE YOU DO IT.  You can also get them involved and demonstrate a practical use of their math skills.
