Beaver Valley Elementary
Welcome Back! The 24-25 school year is off to a smooth start. As many of you may know, Beaver Valley is currently staffed with four teachers at each grade level, making classes crowded. With this in mind, relationships become more important than ever, if possible. Please reach out to your child’s teachers to foster this relationship. Beaver Valley is the recipient of a grant for afterschool programming that should begin this fall, so look for details soon.
Thank you so much for your cooperation with student arrival and dismissal. This has helped to start the year off on a good note.
We will wrap up our testing window on the 10th. This data helps us get to know our students at an academic level in order to best meet their needs and plan for grouping and instruction. We are eager to build on this successful start.
Respectfully,
Mr. Brian Singley, Principal
Mr. James Wilson, Assistant Principal

From the Assistant Principal’s Chair:
LET THEM SEE YOU DO IT.
This month, I would like to challenge you to read a news article (not on social media) with your kids. Historically, news articles are written at roughly the 6th-8th grade reading level, so most people can access the information. This will probably be a stretch for your kids, but with your help and discussion of the contents with them, they will quickly catch up on the overall ideas of the article.
If they have seen you reading, this is bringing them into a participatory standing with you. They aren’t being read to, but they are reading it with you. It is time to bond, time to share something with them, time to expand their world, and it should take very little actual time to do.
This month’s Character Strong focus is Respect!
Each grade level has its own newsletter specifically for them! Use the link below to see your grades newsletter!
If you need to make changes to your students’ end-of-day plans, please contact the office before 3 p.m. and speak to someone to ensure the message will reach your child before dismissal.
