2024 Lower South Platte (LSP) 

Children’s Water Festival! 

 Logan County Fairgrounds Wednesday, September 18th, 2024. This event will happen, rain or shine! 9:00 am - 2:40 pm 

This festival’s purpose is to: 

• educate students about water resources. 

• present ways they can ensure a future in which both the quantity and quality of water resources are protected and managed wisely. 

Students will spend the day rotating through water presentations and activities! Presentations include Colorado is a headwaters State, how the water cycle works, salt water vs. fresh water, groundwater models, relays, and more. 

Lunch will be provided for all kids, teachers, chaperones and drivers. It will be all beef hot  dogs, chips, fruit cups, and string cheese. We will also have bottled water. Kids are  welcome to pack a lunch if they desire, and we will store it for them until lunchtime.
