It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of John Gotto, a cherished member of the Brush School District family. Over the years, Mr. Gotto touched countless lives in our community, serving as an Assistant Superintendent, Principal, Teacher, and Coach with unwavering dedication and passion.
Mr Gotto's commitment to our students, staff, and families has left an indelible mark on our district. Their legacy is one of excellence, compassion, and tireless service. We are grateful for the many ways he helped shape the lives of our students and staff and for the profound impact they had on all who knew them.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Gotto family during this difficult time. As we come together to mourn this tremendous loss, we also celebrate the extraordinary life Mr. Gotto led and the many contributions they made to our community.
We encourage everyone to support one another as we remember and honor John Gotto's remarkable life.
Sincerely,
Marsha Cody
Superintendent, Brush School District

Dear Brush Students, Staff, Families, and Community,
Thank you for your patience, support, and understanding as we managed the flooding and electrical outages caused by last night’s storm.
We plan to have school tomorrow, Wednesday, August 14, 2024, as long as the electricity remains stable and the weather cooperates. In preparation for tonight’s forecast, we have taken precautionary measures by sandbagging key areas of concern.
Additionally, we have refined our communication processes based on what we learned from this morning’s situation. Moving forward, our goal is to communicate any school closure needs by 6:30 a.m.
I am incredibly proud and grateful for the efforts of the Brush School District staff, the City of Brush, and the entire Brush community. Thank you to everyone who assisted with cleanup, supported our students, and prepared for tonight's storm. I’m proud to be a Beetdigger!
Kind regards,
Marsha Cody
Superintendent
